Worldwide Travel Plan specialise in providing cover for persons with pre- existing medical conditions. Medical conditions do not preclude cover being available. All medical conditions are considered when issuing your travel insurance policy. An additional medical premium can often be paid to cover the condition, and the standard travel insurance policy conditions will be maintained for all other aspects of your trip.
Any condition which is being treated by a doctor or medically qualified person, or for which the traveller takes prescribed medication could be an added risk. It is vital when applying for travel insurance to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, without which any medical conditions would not be covered.
If in doubt, you should always disclose the information.

Philip J Salt
47 years of Travel Industry Experience.
Commenced his career with American Express in Liverpool and spent 11 years with the company working in Edinburgh, London, New York and opened the first travel office for American Express in Manchester and was the company’s youngest Branch Manager.
From American Express Philip joined the Thomson Travel Group as General Manager, Lunn Poly Aberdeen. The Business was totally oil related and he turned a struggling organisation into Lunn Poly’s most profitable Business Travel Centre and won Manager of the Year 1981.
Philip was then head hunted by the Billington Group of Companies and returned to Merseyside as Managing Director of Wise Travel spent 10 happy years diversifying that business and developing special niche tour operations including the Channel Islands, Cruising and the chartering of Concorde.
Philip then did various consultancy roles for various travel organisations and joined World Wide Travel Plan as a partner in 2007. The Company has grown from a partnership in 2007 to three specialist businesses with Travel Insurance now being the main focus of its business activities.
Media Travel Insurance Services Ltd now provides holiday Insurance for two large media groups of newspapers, Trinity Mirror, Regional and Johnson Press. Titles include Liverpool Echo and Yorkshire Post, just to name two out of three hundred and twenty newspapers that Media Travel handle.
Philip was also Chairman of the Travel Insurance Committee of the National Association of Independent Travel Agents (NAITA) and has a wealth of experience within the Travel Insurance Industry.
